UK’s Peter Mandelson resigns from Labour party after Epstein ties resurface
Former British ambassador to Washington Peter Mandelson quit the Labour Party on Sunday after newly released US documents revived scrutiny of his links to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Mandelson said he wanted to avoid causing “further embarrassment” and denied wrongdoing.
