Slovenians reject assisted-dying law in national referendum
Slovenians voted on Sunday to suspend a new law legalising assisted dying after opponents forced a referendum. With nearly all ballots counted, about 53% rejected the measure and 47% backed it, delaying its implementation for at least a year, election authorities said.
