Ecuador poised to reject return of US military bases in major setback for Noboa
Ecuadorans looked set on Sunday to reject the return of US military bases, early referendum results showed, dealing a setback to Trump-aligned President Daniel Noboa. With more than half the ballots counted, about 60% of voters opposed lifting the country’s long-standing ban on hosting foreign military facilities.
