Stephen and Ayesha Curry Hit the 2022 ESPY Awards Red Carpet With Their Daughters
Stephen Curry had some epic support for his 2022 ESPY Awards hosting gig. The Golden State Warriors athlete's family, including his wife, chef Ayesha Curry, and their older children - daughters Riley, 10, and Ryan, 7 - were all on hand at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on July 20. Ayesha and Stephen's youngest child, son Canon, 4, didn't walk the red carpet with his parents and siblings. But grandma and grandpa Curry were there: Stephen's parents, Sonya and Dell Curry, were pictured in attendance. Stephen - who is also up for several awards during the 2022 ceremony - told The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the big night that he texted a few former hosts before agreeing to the emcee gig, including Drake and Peyton Manning. Said Stephen, "I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't a 'Hell no, don't do it,' situation. And I didn't get that from either [Drake or Manning]. It was all very positive and encouraging that it was an opportunity and experience that I would love doing." Ayesha and Stephen just celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary last summer, though they met years prior as teenagers. They reconnected in 2008 and got engaged two years later. The happy couple tied the knot in North Carolina in 2011.
