Louisiana orders evacuations, urges preparedness as ‘expected’ hurricane Francine nears
Hurricane warnings have been issued for much of the Louisiana coastline with a forecast of heavy rain, strong winds and a severe storm surge, with landfall expected on Wednesday. The US National Hurricane Center on Monday said Tropical Storm Francine was “expected to become a hurricane soon”.
